She gives instructions on how to make half-square triangles right in the quilt block instructions. Layer two 4-inch squares, mark a line down the middle from corner to corner, stitch 1/4" on each side of the line, and then cut on the line. If you google, you'll be able to find tutorials with pictures. I don't really want to pay more money to get a spinning star paper pattern or Thangles. I'm going to have to do some figuring and thinking. <br /><br />Maybe I can make my own paper patterns based off the real one?<br /><br /> If I do, I'll have to practice using scrap fabrics because I don't want to mess up the layer cake fabric. I know have have some old scrapbook paper that might work. <br /><br />I haven't made a whole lot of triangles in quilting. This is really outside my level of experience.
