Final Winners and a Question

It's bitter sweet announcing the last winners.  We have FIVE winners this time.

First the winner from the participants blog post.  This quilter will be sent a Jelly Roll from the Fat Quarter Shop.  Who wins the Jelly Roll?

Renegade Quilter!

Then FOUR other winners will be sent something fun.  I've got charm packs and patterns.  What you get in the mail will just be a surprise!  Who gets a surprise?

First, mvatshel!

Second, stitchbymachine!

Third, munkeemouse!

and fourth, SewFanatic!

I haven't sent out a notification yet.  You can email me your mailing address at kluckau@moosequilts.com or I will email you through flickr if you don't beat me to it tomorrow.

I have had so much fun with all of you.  Another quilt along is in the works.  I am wrestling with which way to go with it.  I really liked the two week time frame, even if it doesn't have quite the ring to it as "block of the month."

So that leads me to a question --

What precut would like the next quilt along to use?

Jelly roll again, honey bun, layer cake, charm pack, turnover, fat quarters????  This is going to be a personal preference thing, but I am just wondering what YOUR personal preference is.

Either way, thanks for playing along!!!!  LOVE all the great quilts on flickr!

  1. Congratulations to the winners!
My preference would go to the pre cut Layer Cake. I have only worked with it once.

  5. I so enjoyed the quilt along and thought the two-week time frame was good. I like layer cakes also and put my vote in for that, but anything is fine with me. Thanks for organizing the quilt along...so fun even if I didn't win a thing any of the weeks' drawings!

  8. How about a turnover? There are so many fun patterns that can be made with those!

    Love your quilt a long.

  9. Congratulations to all the winners. Actually we were all winners just for playing along. We learned new blocks, we had fun, we made a top! Sounds like winning to me!

  10. Congrats to the winners and thanks to you and all the designers-great job, great quilt, great fun.

I'd like to try the layer cake as I've never worked with one before.
I LUV the 2 week time frame-it was definately a deciding factor for me!!

  11. Congrats to all the winners! I feel like I've won because I ended this quilt along with a beautiful quilt!

Never used a turnover, but layer cakes also are a fave. I know whatever you do, it'll be fantastic! The 2 week time frame is perfect, too. Thx!

  12. Layer cake! I like turnovers, but they're hard to find sometimes.

  13. Congratulations to all the winners!
I'd love the next project to use fat quarters... They're easy to obtain and fun to use!

  14. This was so much fun! I'm going to make another quilt using these same patterns with another Jelly Roll that I just purchased. I think that using Charm Packs would be nice.

  15. Awesome prizes - congrats to the winners.

I tend to buy charm packs and FQs when I don't have anything in mind to buy yardage for - so I l have lots to use.

  16. I would like to use either a layer cake or a jelly roll again. There are already a tonne of charm pack quilt patterns out there so a quilt along using those interests me less. I would also like it if the quilt was larger.

It's been such a fun quilt along -- I love the two week schedule and can't wait for the next one to begin!

  17. Had a lot of fun and I agree, the two week time frame was great! I'd go with the Layer Cake as I have some but have never worked with them yet.

  18. I loved doing this quilt-along. One thing I learned was next time I'll mingle my least favorite strips as I go instead of having to use all of them in my last couple of blocks. Those blocks turned out okay but could have been better. Can't wait for the next quilt-along! Betty in Ky.

  19. Konda,
Thanks so much for hosting this quilt along. I am sure it was a lot more work than those of us participating realize.

I'd like to use fat quarters or a layer cake for a quilt along.

Not so keen on charm packs. I always end up with a pack where several squares aren't square and too small.

  20. I have a honeybun and charms to use up...but I am up for anything! I loved the Jelly Roll Quilt Along! Thank you for all your work on this!

  21. Thank you for the fun jelly roll quilt along. I really enjoyed it. Every two weeks was a good time frame for me. It was alot of fun to see the blocks made in so many different color selections. I really enjoyed meeting the designers and adding some new blogs to my list. I'm still need to finish up my quilt, but I know I will love it when it is done. Thanks for all the time you put into doing this. I did a layer cake pinwheel quilt along. I like working with layer cakes too.

  22. I recently took a trip to Hawaii and purchased several batik fat quarters along with yardage in a matching batik petrogylph. I've been struggling to find the right pattern to use these fabrics, so my vote is for FAT QUARTERS.

  23. Konda, first of all, thank you SO much for this Jelly Roll Quilt Along. I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed it. And the BEST part was having a new block posted every TWO weeks. I LOVE that !!!!

I love all precuts so I'm "in" for whatever you choose to offer.

And, I'd like to thank you again for all that you've done.

    Blessings.

  32. I agree, the two week time frame worked out great and kept me motivated.

Charm packs follow me home most often, so that would be my vote.

  33. I came in a little to late to play along; but, i loved the posts and updates.

As for my preference, I've only worked with fat quarters (and other regular yardage). So, any precuts would be fun to do! :-)

  34. Congratulations to the winners .. It was fun and I would love to take part in a Layer Cake Quilt- Along.

  35. I have about a zillion fat quarters so that would be great. I am also becoming a collector of layer cakes so that would be nice also. I loved using the jelly rolls.

  36. Hi! I didn't do this last quilt along with you... but I found your blog a few months ago and have been following it ever since. I just bought a charm pack that I wouldn't mind using - maybe to make a cute baby quilt?

  37. I have a lot of jelly rolls but would love charm packs too. Have a lot of them as well.

  38. Thanks again for this last Jelly roll quilt along--I had a great time!
I have charm packs and a layer cake--but I have never bought or used a turnover bundle--so I would like to see something with them or them used with one of the other packs

  41. Hi there!
any cut is fine with me, but rather than a sampler, could we do a specific pattern or repeatable blocks?, maybe as a mystery?
    Thanks, Leslie

  42. Thanks so much for the jelly roll quilt along. It's been so much fun! I would love to do a quilt along with turnovers. They look so cute, but I have no idea what you do with them.

  43. This has been so fun. Thanks a bunch for the opportunity to so something that came with a new surprise every 2 weeks.
I wouldn't mind another jellyroll, but I think doing a layer cake would be awesome. Not a fan of turnovers, but if thats what you choose, I am up for it!

  44. Even though I am still putting together my quilt top from the Jelly Roll Sampler Quilt I loved doing these blocks. It was interesting to see what was coming next.
Congratulations to the winners. Great work, ladies.
How about something with a layer cake. I have yet to purchase a layer cake.
Have a super great sewing day.

  47. Wow, I won something! I never win anything so this is very exciting!! Everyone is a winner though because we all have a beautiful quilt top now!

I like the 2 week time frame also. It doesn't matter which pre-cut you choose, I'll have one to use. I have a large stash and need to use up some of those precuts! Look forward to the the next quilt along beginning!
