Layer Cake Countdown

Let the countdown to the Layer Cake Quilt Along officially begin NOW!


I just sewed the first block up.  Now to press it and take a picture. I'm going to have it set to automatically load two weeks from today.  But today let me introduce you to the great new cast of designers that are lined up -- in no particular order:

  7. I'm wondering what skill level is required for the quilt along. I've only made three quilts. Should you be an "intermediate" before considering this?

  15. I just bought my layer cake along with the accent and border fabrics. I bought Origins (Basic grey) by Moda. The colors are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I do like them. Two questions...Is there a flickr group for the quilt-a-long and if so, what is the address? Thanks!
