Book Thoughts

Read a book the last couple days.  Haven't been doing too much of that lately.  Just picked it up at the library.  I liked the title -- Against All Odds.  (I think I may sadly be taking a temporary hiatus from the library since the two year old just used two library books as coloring books.)

Anyway, one line from the book has been sticking with me. "Ideas are funny things.  They don't work unless you do."

In other news that I know you can't live without. . . .  while I was sewing, something -- mouse, maybe -- got into the dryer hot air thing-a-majigger.  I got an instant case of the hebbie jebbies.  My husband was at work so my two oldest kids and I tried to help it out by strategically moving the hot air thing-a-majigger.  Somehow it isn't there now.  Don't know quite how it escaped.

Thankfully it is gone.

I don't know if I am ready to sew again yet.  There may have been a couple screams during the escapade though I won't say who they came from.  I'm sure I will be able to sew again tomorrow.

That is so funny! I am sure if the screams came from you they were very dignified screams.

FUNNY! i would have been up on top of the dryer! russ thought he saw a mouse downstairs between the closet and were the washer/dryer is; so every time i go down there i put on shoes, turn the hall light on, and walk/run into the other room.

Ugh...a mouse in the house, makes me yell "What the ---------" well, I do yell.

I'd be screaming too so don't feel bad! ;-) Yick! I've had to deal with mouse infestation before at our old house. I get the heebie jeebies every time I think of one now.

chucknorrisfacts.com is a good site. Chuck Facts were a lot of fun during Iraq deployments. JBB, I think it was JBB, had a Chuck Norris cake one year.

Glad to see the man himself has some words of wisdom. Thanks.

I don't think of myself as a 'whimpy' girl but a mouse in the house and I'm screaming and up on a chair-literally I am amazed at how fast and high I can jump. (I must have been an elephant in a former life--haha) that would explain a few other things as well.... lol.
Seriously, I think I'm going to print out the Ideas quote and hang it in view in my sewing room.

My DH would LOVE that book considering he has every movie/show Chuck made on DVD or Blu-ray.

Hopefully it's in e-book format and can directly download it. Yup. It's an e-boook.

Gotta love the critters that scare the crap out of us. Glad you are okay.
