Welcome to Day 16 of Emily's Geared for Guys Book Tour!
By now, you have seen a lot of the quilts in the book, so I decided to share my favorite part of the book. Emily shared more than just patterns to help you create better quilts for the guys in your life. I know one of my brothers does NOT think it's a guy quilt if there is the faintest hint of a floral element in the fabric.

These are no doubt very useful tips. In my experience, it really is very difficult to find and coordinate manly looking fabrics at a quilt shop. Swirls, paisleys and themed novelty fabrics are what I usually go for.

Those are great pages she's added in her book. Color Theory is the hardest part for me so far in my attempt to learn to quilt. I'd love to win a copy of her book although I'll be buying it if I don't win. I have 4 grown sons and a husband to make quilts for.

Picking guy fabric is extra hard. They know exactly what they don't want, but give me no clue on what they do want. I need this book.

Wow! This is such a perfect opportunity! My only son has recently asked for a quilt for his new home and I've been racking my brain with color schemes and design ideas for him so this book 'popping up' is ideal! I would love the chance to win it - thank you!!!
